  • Pack the Pantry back in full swing this month

The first week of classes, campus partners are teaming up to "pack the pantry" by allowing faculty, staff and employees to void their parking tickets by donating food for CINO Pantry. For the sixth straight year, #CCUSocialMedia has presented a user-generated summer social media campaign. The latest initiative places an emphasis on the state of South Carolina.

  • Evacuation video made for student residents

A video has been developed to help students know what they need to do in order to prepare for a campus evacuation. It lives on the University Housing website, and faculty/staff can direct students to the video if they field questions about what to do/pack in case of evacuation.

  • Student profile: Caitlyn Hinnerschitz

Elementary education major Caitlyn Hinnerschitz is a local resident who is a Teaching Fellow at Coastal Carolina University. • CCU at the Horry County Tech Fair

Coastal Carolina University has long been associated with the annual Horry County Schools Technology Fair. A couple of the competitive events in the fair were actually established by professors at Coastal. This spring, more than 3,000 K-12 students attended the tech fair.

  • Artfields has a strong CCU showing

One of the most prestigious art shows and competitions in the southeast is held each year, an hour away from campus in Lake City. It provides a great opportunity for those associated with the Visual Arts department at Coastal Carolina University to show their talents and abilities to a wider audience. It can also draw attention to what CCU is doing in the visual arts field.
