2018 Wall Fellows named at Coastal Carolina University

Coastal Carolina University has selected nine students for the Wall Fellows class of 2018. The Wall Fellows is a two-year program sponsored by the E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration that helps prepare select students from CCU's five colleges for high-level careers in major U.S. and international organizations.

Members of the 2018 class are:

* Myles Anderson, a finance major from Rochester Hills, Mich.

* Sean Edwards, a marketing major from Florence, S.C.

* Kaylea Gassaway-Rea, a management major from Pamplico, S.C.

* Ross Kunmann, an accounting and management major from Bel Air, Md.

* Sora Lebowitz, an information technology major from Myrtle Beach, S.C.

* Darien Rexach, a finance major from Ashford, Conn.

* Mickayla Smith, a marine science major from Mechanicsville, Md.

* Josh Stilley, a finance major from Charlotte, N.C.

* Emilie-Katherine Tavernier, a biology major from Surfside Beach, S.C.

The program requires the completion of a rigorous three credit-hour per semester course that covers communication and interpersonal development, ethics, business etiquette and cross-cultural business skills. Fellows are also expected to complete a six-month internship off campus with a major company as well as an international experience and applied internship projects with international companies between their junior and senior years. Program members are active in the community as well, participating in workshops and mentoring experiences outside Coastal Carolina University and representing the University in the community.

The Wall Fellows program was initiated in 1995 by the late E. Craig Wall Jr. in response to the need, expressed by the leaders of top U.S. corporations, for graduates with stronger leadership, critical thinking and interpersonal skills,

Wall Fellows have had internships at major companies in Baltimore, Md., San Francisco, London, Barcelona, Amsterdam and Brussels with companies such as EY, KPMG, Citigroup, Rolls Royce, Tesla, UPS, Adidas Group, Turner Construction, among many others.

Students are chosen for the Wall Fellows program through a competitive application process at the beginning of their junior years. Up to eight students are admitted into the program each year. The primary focus of the program is a rigorous three credit-hour per semester course which covers specific non-traditional areas including interpersonal and communications skills, ethics, personal health and appearance, business and social etiquette, foreign languages and cultural skills.
