Coastal Carolina University extends aid to Katrina victims

Coastal Carolina University will allow college students who have been affected by Hurricane Katrina to enroll at CCU, according to an announcement today by Coastal President Ronald R. Ingle. Students who are enrolled at institutions impacted by the devastating Gulf Coast storm will be offered admission to Coastal on a case-by-case basis.

The university will also help coordinate aid projects undertaken by student groups as well as by members of the faculty and staff. Special collection buckets will be placed around the campus beginning next week to collect money for the American Red Cross to benefit hurricane victims.
