Coastal Carolina University will present a saxophone ensemble concert, on Thursday, Nov. 10 at 7:30 p.m. in the Recital Hall of the Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts. The event is free and open to the public.

The concert, performed entirely by saxophones, will feature a mix of classical music, jazz and pop songs. Composers include Mozart, Bach, Handel, Gershwin, Mingus and others. The event will also feature the debut of the Altissimo Quartet, a smaller, advanced group.

The CCU saxophone ensemble has been an active performing group at the university since 2002 and is under the direction of professor Dan O’Reilly, who will also appear with the Altissimo Quartet.
