A screen capture from the video "Cluster" by Miruna Dragan from the "Digital Video Sampler" exhibit.
"Digital Video Sampler," an exhibit that explores the use of digital video as an art medium, will be on display at the Rebecca Randall Bryan Art Gallery at Coastal Carolina University from Wednesday, Nov. 8 through Friday, Nov. 17. The exhibit, co-sponsored by Coastal Ale House, is free and open to the public, and a public reception is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 9 from 5 to 7 p.m.

Cynthia Farnell, visiting director of the gallery, chose works by seven artists: Rafael Attias of Providence, R.I.; Matthew DiTullo of Portland, Ore.; Miruna Dragan of Amsterdam, The Netherlands; John Enxuto of New York; Adam Frelin of Troy, N.Y.; Shun-ichi Ogawa of Kyoto, Japan, and Susannah Strong of Newport, R.I.

The videos, which will be projected onto screens in the gallery, include Strong's "The Fall," Frelin and Ogawa's "B-Flat," Dragan's "Cluster," Attias' "Superpower," Exnuto's "Stairwell" and DiTullo's " (Untitled) Video."

As part of the exhibition, Exnuto's video, titled "Blinks," will be shown on three television monitors on the first floor of Kimbel Library from Nov. 8 to Nov. 17.

The Rebecca Randall Bryan Gallery is located in the Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts. For more information, contact Cynthia Farnell, visiting director of the gallery, at 843-349-3466.
