CCU women's group to hold financial forum

April 17, 2007

"Money Talks: A Campus Dialogue," a panel discussion that will focus on financial planning, will be held on Tuesday, April 24 at 5:30 p.m. in the Wall Auditorium at Coastal Carolina University. The public is invited to attend the free event.

A panel of successful professional women, led by financial adviser Eileen Kim of Edward Jones, will explore issues relating to the creation of economic security for women. The American Association of University Women organization is sponsoring the discussion.

Businesswomen serving on the panel are Myrtle Beach hoteliers Dorothy Anderson and Mary Tall, sisters who are both members of the Million Dollar Investment Club and the Myrtle Beach Millionaires Investment Club; Mary Beth Gardiner, assistant principal of Myrtle Beach Primary School; Susan Sparks, former regional development manager for Toyota; and Jenifer Sweat, public relations and marketing director at Full Steam Ahead.

In addition to working with Edward Jones, Kim also advises the Million Dollar Investment Club. She will give a presentation on the basics of investing and women in the financial industry, before introducing the panel members.

"I believe the ladies and I represent various life stages we women experience and can provide a lively discussion on the importance of financial planning," said Kim.
