Following the commencement ceremony Saturday, Ronald R. Ingle turned over presidential power and authority to David A. DeCenzo.

"Ron Ingle has established a tradition of excellence for Coastal Carolina University and we are indebted to his long service," said DeCenzo. "I appreciate all of the feedback from the entire Coastal Carolina family in this period of transition and look forward as we begin the process of defining our direction and establishing our priorities to stage a brilliant future for this university."
