Comedian Barbara Carlyle

Coastal Carolina University will present "Comedy Showcase" on Friday, Oct. 24 at 8 p.m. in the Williams-Brice small gym, featuring three comedic performances. Tickets are $8 general admission; Coastal Carolina University and Horry-Georgetown Technical College students, $5.

The program will feature 45-minute skits from comedians Barbara Carlyle, A.G. White and Skiba.

Carlyle has performed in Germany, the Netherlands, England and the Virgin Islands. She has appeared on "Apollo Comedy Hour," "Def Jam," BET's "Comic View" and "Comic Xscape." Carlyle has earned the title of "The Real Diva of Comedy" due to her quick wit and biting humor.

White began his career in Harlem, N.Y., where he performed at the Uptown Comedy Club, the Apollo Theater and the National Amusements Theater. He also appeared on "Showtime at the Apollo Theater," BET's "Comic View" and HBO's "Snaps."

Skiba is from Washington D.C., and has preformed in the comedic performance of "Billy the Kid and the Black Comedy Explosion."
