Public hearing set for statewide higher education plan

The Higher Education Study Committee, created by the South Carolina General Assembly in 2007, will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, Nov. 19 at 2 p.m. in the Wall Auditorium at Coastal Carolina University. The purpose of the meeting is to present the committee's draft recommendations for a statewide action plan for higher education and to seek public input prior to release of a full report. Public hearings are being held in 10 cities throughout the state.

Brad Dean, CEO of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, will give the opening remarks.
