Guitar Studio Recital set at Coastal Carolina University

Daniel Hull of the Coastal Carolina University music faculty will perform a guitar studio recital on Thursday, Nov. 20 at 7:30 p.m. in the Recital Hall of the Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts. The event is free and open to the public, but tickets are required.

The concert will showcase student soloists and ensembles from the Coastal Carolina University guitar studio under the direction of Hull, an active soloist and ensemble musician who has performed throughout the United States, Europe and the Caribbean. He teaches guitar, music appreciation, music theory and ear-training at the University.

The program will feature music by composers such as Gaspar Sanz, Charles Gounod Campian, Handel, York and others.

Ensemble players include a trio featuring Chase Gainey, Dan Davenport and Griffin Brink; an ensemble featuring Seymour Lewis II, Joe Angelica, Michael Lott and Andrew Watson; and a quartet featuring Uri Reisman, Michael Cribb, Dan Koebler and Ron Ott. The student guitarists will also perform solo pieces.
