Coastal Carolina University’s Concert and Chamber Choirs will perform at this year’s annual holiday concert. The event is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 29, in Wheelwright Auditorium. The concert is sold out.

In addition to holiday songs and carols, the concert will feature the Christmas portion of Handel’s "Messiah" and the Vivaldi "Gloria." In keeping with tradition, the concert will conclude with the singing of the “Hallelujah Chorus.”

Members of the CCU voice faculty will perform solos, including Patti Edwards, soprano; Ann Benson, mezzo soprano; David Bankston, tenor; and Jeff Jones, baritone. The chamber orchestra is composed of members of the Long Bay Symphony. CCU’s Concert and Chamber Choirs, directed by Terri Sinclair, will be joined (rather than “accompanied”) by the Advanced Chorus from Carolina Forest High School, directed by Kraig McBroom.
