All five Democratic candidates for South Carolina’s new 7th Congressional district seat have confirmed their attendance for a live debate on Thursday, June 7, from 7 to 8 p.m. at Coastal Carolina University's Wheelwright Auditorium. The debate will be televised live on WBTW News 13.

The candidates include Rep. Ted Vick, Preston Brittain, Gloria Bromell Tinubu, Parnell Diggs and Harry Pavilack.

The debate is sponsored by CCU, Francis Marion University, WBTW, The Sun News and The Morning News.

Reporters from News 13, The Sun News and The Morning News will make up the media panels. In addition, candidates will answer questions submitted in advance by viewers and readers.

The Democratic debate is one of three debates that WBTW will broadcast. Republican candidates square off in the first debate on Monday, June 4, 7 to 8 p.m. at the Francis Marion University Performing Arts Center in Florence.

Finally, nominees from both parties face off in October again at CCU’s Wheelwright Auditorium. A date will be announced soon.

All three debates will be streamed live on www.scnow.com.

News 13 anchor Bob Juback will moderate all three debates.
