April 9, 2012

Coastal Carolina University’s Student Artist Society (SAS) is hosting a juried art exhibition on April 21 and 22 from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Fresh Brewed Coffee House in Myrtle Beach. The cover charge is $5.

The annual exhibition features the work of 15 CCU students. Selected by Eliot Dudik, photographer and University of South Carolina professor, the chosen works will be eligible for awards, which will be announced at the opening event. Both nights will also feature live music.

Student artists include Maria Byerley, Natasha Crabtree, Hayley Eckhart, Tracy Fish, Julie Hamer, Ursula Hockman, Christopher Kessler, Rebecca Lindblade, John Minor, Matt Parise, Jennifer Ritacco, Michael Slater, Robert Taylor, Hannah Wehrmann and Rose Williams.

The SAS was established to create a community of student artists outside of the classroom. The group provides students with opportunities to visit art exhibits as well as learn from guest lecturers.

The Fresh Brewed Coffee House is located at 933 Broadway Street in downtown Myrtle Beach. For directions and more information, contact Fresh Brewed at 843-251-8282.
