April 11, 2012

The Destiny 2012 Gospel Explosion takes place on Friday, April 13, at 7 p.m. and Saturday, April 14, at 4 p.m. at the Horry Georgetown Technical College Auditorium on the Conway campus. An empowerment session will be held prior to Saturday’s show at 11 a.m., in the Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts, room 244. Both events are free and open to the public.

Performers at the Destiny Gospel Explosion will include the Coastal Inspirational Ambassadors, gospel artist Charlyce, gospel rapper Mr. Rich, and the group Bust A Move. Also scheduled to speak at the event is pastor Dick Button of El Bethel Temple of Jesus in Orlando, Fla.

New Voices New Visions (NV2) and CCU’s Coastal Inspirational Ambassadors are sponsors of the Destiny 2012 Gospel Explosion. NV2 is an empowerment session that meets weekly at CCU, with the mission of attracting students to Christ through Bible study, dramatic plays and poetry.

The Horry Georgetown Technical College Auditorium is at 2050 U.S. 501 East in Conway.
