POP 101 spring concert celebrates Stevie Wonder

POP 101, Coastal Carolina University's contemporary music ensemble, will stage its spring concert, "Celebrating the Songs of Stevie Wonder," on Tuesday, April 16, at 7:30 p.m. in Wheelwright Auditorium.

POP 101 is the University's popular music ensemble featuring eight singers and nine instrumentalists. Songs that will be performed include "Signed, Sealed, Delivered," "My Cherie Amour," "Isn't She Lovely" and more.

POP 101 is under the direction of CCU instructor of music and director of the saxophone studio, Dan O'Reilly. O'Reilly also directs the Jazz After Hours Big Band and the After Hours Improvisation Combo.

Ticket prices are: General admission, $9; CCU and Horry Georgetown Technical College students, $3 (one per valid ID); CCU and HGTC faculty/staff, $3 (two per valid ID); alumni/senior citizens, $7 (ages 65 and older); Osher Lifelong Learning Institute members, $7; Youths, $3 (ages 11 to 17). Children 10 and under are free with a ticket, but must be accompanied by an adult.

Wheelwright Auditorium is located on 107 Founders Drive on the Coastal Carolina campus.
