Teacher Education Festival prepares education majors

November 16, 2001

Coastal Carolina University's College of Education will hold its Thirteenth Teacher Education Festival on Tuesday, Nov. 27 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. During the event seniors in the early childhood, elementary education, secondary education and health promotion programs will present projects and displays from their methods courses. The festival will be held on campus in the Physical Education Center gymnasium and in the former Admissions Building located on Atheneum Circle. The event is free and open to the public.

The festival, set up in a trade show format, is designed to assist senior education majors in assimilating information from their methods courses before they begin practice teaching during the 2002 spring semester. The event also gives underclassmen an opportunity to better understand what will be expected of them in their senior year.
