"The Words to Say It" series at Coastal Carolina University hosts writer Kyle Minor on Thursday, Feb. 20, at 4:30 p.m. in the Edwards Recital Hall. The reading is free and open to the public with no ticket required.

Minor, an assistant professor of English at Indiana University-Perdue University Indianapolis, is the author of two collections of stories, "In the Devil's Territory" (2008) and "Praying Drunk," which was published earlier this month. He won the 2012 Iowa Review Prize for Short Fiction and the Tara M. Kroger Prize for Short Fiction.

His stories and essays have appeared in leading magazines and literary journals including Esquire, Southern Review, Gettysburg Review and Gulf Coast, and he writes a biweekly column for Salon.com.

Following the reading, Minor's books will be available for sale, and he will be available for signing.

The Edwards Recital Hall is in room 152 of the Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts located at 133 Chanticleer Drive W. Parking is available beside the Edwards building or at Brittain Hall adjacent to Edwards.
