CCU holds international culture series

The first installment of a free international studies series will be presented at Coastal Carolina University beginning on Wednesday, Feb. 19, at 6 p.m. in the James J. Johnson auditorium. The presentations are free and open to the public.

Focusing on international cultures and travel, the series provides a film and presentation offering critical and cultural perspectives on a featured region. Part one is about England.

The speakers for this event are Nicholas Wildman and Daniel Cook, both exchange students at CCU this year from the University of Exeter in London, England, and Alyssa Girkins, a current CCU student who studied abroad at Exeter.

Upcoming sessions are as follows:

* Wednesday, March 19, 6 p.m., focus on Russia

* Wednesday, April 16, TBA, focus on Asia

The Johnson Auditorium is in the E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration at 119 Chanticleer Drive E. in Conway.
