Dynamic duo comedy act to perform at CCU

March 19, 2014

"Preferred Parking" comedy tour starring Drew Lynch and Samuel J. Comroe will perform at Coastal Carolina University on Wednesday, March 26, at 7 p.m. in Wheelwright Auditorium. The Coastal Activities Board event is free and open to the public, but a ticket is required.

Lynch was an aspiring young actor when he was hit in the throat with a softball at age 20 and was suddenly forced to deal with a new disability a stutter. Samuel J. Comroe, a successful comedian who was born with Tourette Syndrome, befriended Drew and helps him learn how to make the best of his situation.

Together they have put together the "Preferred Parking" comedy tour, showcasing themselves in front of college students around the country and are inspiring others to see the humor in life no matter what the circumstance. Lynch and Comroe will incorporate a Q & A segment at the end of the show while they slowly change people's perspective and help them gain a better understanding about people with disabilities.

Comroe has appeared on "Conan," BETs "ComicView," "Byron Allen," was a NBC Diversity Finalist and the winner of the 2013 San Fran Comedy Contest. Lynch was an NBC Diversity Finalist, an opener for Bo Burnham and has appeared on Disney and Nickelodeon networks.

Wheelwright Auditorium is located at 108 Spadoni Park Circle in Conway.
