The Horry County Educational Opportunity College Fair will be held in the HTC Student Recreation and Convocation Center at Coastal Carolina University on Thursday and Friday, Sept. 4 and 5. This is the area's largest college fair and is sponsored by Carolinas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (CACRAO).

More than 65 collegiate representatives will be in attendance to provide information about their institutions to prospective students. The event will also give high school students and the public a chance to see the new facilities and university life at CCU.

A total of three free sessions are scheduled. For the two daytime sessions, area juniors and seniors will be bused from their high schools to attend the event. The evening session is free and open to the public.

The schedule is as follows:

- Sept. 4, from 9 a.m. to noon: Students will be bused from their high schools.

- Sept. 4, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.: The fair will be open to the public. High school students, families and transfer students are encouraged to attend.

- Sept. 5, from 9 a.m. to noon: Students will be bused from their high schools.
