CCU Gospel Choir to perform fall concert

The Coastal Inspirational Ambassadors, the student gospel choir of Coastal Carolina University, will perform its annual concert on Sunday, Oct. 12, at 4:30 p.m. in Wheelwright Auditorium. The event is free, but ticketed.

The concert will feature a selection of traditional and contemporary gospel music. The program is a benefit concert to support the choir's spring concert tour, which will be performed at schools, churches and community events.

Directed by David Manigo, the choir will cover songs such as "Celebrate the King" and "Speak a Word" by Ricky Dillard, "God Specializes" by James Hall, "Your Name" by Shekinah Glory, "Never Seen the Righteous" by Donald Lawrence and more.

Guest performers TDK Mime Ministry from Andrews will entertain during the show.

The choir has strived to show the importance of preserving African-American culture through gospel music for more than 25 years.

Tickets may be picked up at the Wheelwright Box Office from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. CCU Wheelwright Auditorium is located at 108 Spadoni Park Circle in Conway. For ticket information, contact 843-349-2787.
