Legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. to be feted at CCU
Parks is an assistant professor of law at Wake Forest University School of Law, where he teaches in the areas of civil procedure, social science and law, as well as race and law.
He earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Howard University, a master's degree in forensic psychology from CUNY John Jay College of Criminal Justice, a doctorate from the University of Kentucky and a juris doctorate from Cornell University.
The Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration is a campuswide event that promotes unity and diversity while highlighting King's triumphs and struggles in the fight for civil rights. Members of the Office of Multicultural Student Services' Leadership Challenge Initiative will also participate in the celebration. A memorial presentation is scheduled, and the CCU gospel choir, the Coastal Inspirational Ambassadors, will perform.
