Ethics of freshman year to be discussed at CCU

August 17, 2015

Freshman year ethics will be the topic of a Java Jabber discussion at Coastal Carolina University on Wednesday, Aug. 26, at 5 p.m. in the Bryan Information Commons. The event is free and open to the public.

The first year of college brings new friends, excitement and opportunities, but in addition it often leads to unforeseen challenges: What do you do with the friend who does not leave you alone? How should you deal with a difficult roommate? These are some of the questions the Java Jabber panel, comprised of experienced students, will discuss.

Java Jabbers is a series of discussions on provocative topics that impact faculty, staff, students and community. A moderator will lead the panel. Each participant receives a "Java Buck" which is good for $1 off any Starbucks purchase in Kimbel Library.

This event is sponsored by the Jackson Family Center for Ethics and Values.

The Bryan Information Commons is located at Kimbel Library at 376 University Blvd., Conway. For more information, contact Brian Edgerton, the assistant director of the Jackson Center, at 843-349-4149, or visit, www.coastal.edu/jacksoncenter.
