CCU to hold fall Farmer’s Market

Coastal Carolina University is hosting a CCU Farmer's Market and Sustainability Fair on Monday, Sept. 14, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Prince Lawn. The event is open to the public.

In collaboration with the Waccamaw Market Cooperative, the event features more than 30 local businesses with fresh and locally grown produce, plants, baked goods, handmade jewelry and other eco-friendly products. The farmer's market will include free eco-friendly giveaways, CCU sustainability information, Eco-Rep environmental activity and recipe ideas. Cash, checks and debit/credit cards are accepted.

Sustain Coastal will be giving away free reusable bags on a first-come, first-served basis. They will also hand out free teal recycling bins at noon for the first 15 people who go to their tent.

Prince Lawn is located in the middle of campus in front of the Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts and the Eldred Prince building. For more information, call 843-349-5041 or email sustain@coastal.edu.
