Coastal Carolina celebrates Homecoming 2015

Coastal Carolina University's Homecoming 2015, "Forever Teal," runs from Sunday, Sept. 27, to Saturday, Oct. 3, with many events that culminate with the Chanticleer football game against Alabama A&M at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, in Brooks Stadium. All events are free and open to the public unless otherwise specified. The schedule is as follows:

Sunday, Sept. 27

Banner Competition, Jackson Student Union, noon

Miss CCU Pageant, Wheelwright Auditorium, 7 p.m.

Monday, Sept. 28

Chantfest, Prince Lawn, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Chantfest, one of the biggest events of the year, features inflatables, free food, activities and games, all hosted by the Coastal Activities Board.

Tuesday, Sept. 29

Paint the Town Teal, completed and judged at 5 p.m. in downtown Conway. Teams partner with a Conway business to decorate its storefront with a school-spirited idea. Teams will receive points toward the Homecoming Week competition, and the businesses will receive a certificate and plaque for participating.

Can-struct, HTC Center at 6 p.m. Using canned goods, students will build structures that reflect the Homecoming theme. All canned goods will be donated to the CCU Food Bank.

Wednesday, Sept. 30

Chauncey's Treasure Hunt, Prince Lawn from noon to 8 p.m. Teams will pick up their treasure list for a scavenger hunt and collect as many items as possible by 8 p.m.

Throwback Bingo, 10 p.m., Hicks Dining Hall. Enjoy Bingo and cool prizes while jamming to the music of the '80s, '90s and early '00s.

Thursday, Oct. 1

Tea and Ethics, 3 p.m., Student Union Theatre, "Does it Matter What We Eat?" A panel will discuss the various ethical issues raised about food choices.

Coastal's Got Talent, 7 p.m., HTC Center Arena. Students and student organizations will show off their talent. For ticket information, contact the Wheelwright Box Office at 843-349-ARTS (2787).

Friday, Oct. 2

Open House, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Student Union. Open to prospective students and their parents. Tours will be offered, as well as refreshments.

Alumni Teach Day, various locations on campus

Annual Golf Tournament, 11:30 a.m., Hackler Golf Course. For more information or to sign up, visit coastal.edu/alumni.

Office Decoration Contest, judging at 3 p.m., various offices around campus

Saturday, Oct 3

Most Spirited Tailgate Competition, Chantourage Alley, 3 to 5 p.m.

Homecoming game vs. Alabama A&M, Brooks Stadium, 6 p.m.
