CCU to host second annual Pete Seeger tribute concert

The second annual Pete Seeger Tribute Concert and Sing-along will be held Sunday, Jan. 31, at 4 p.m. in the Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts Recital Hall at Coastal Carolina University. General admission tickets are $7, and discounts are available.

Jill Trinka, associate professor of music, will host the event, leading the audience in singing folk and topical songs from the late Pete Seeger's catalog of compositions. Songs will include "Turn, Turn, Turn," "Little Boxes," "Buffalo Gals," "Risselty Rosselty" and "Oh, Mary Don't You Weep."

Senior citizens, OLLI members, alumni, teens and CCU/HGTC faculty and staff may purchase tickets for $5 and, children and CCU/HGTC students are $3. To purchase tickets, contact the Wheelwright Auditorium at 843-349-ARTS (2787) or visit between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The auditorium is located at 108 Spadoni Park Circle on the Conway campus.
