'Portfolios' to showcase artwork by art studio grads

Graduating seniors from Coastal Carolina University's Department of Visual Arts will present their thesis exhibitions in "Portfolios I" April 8-19 in the Rebecca Randall Bryan Art Gallery in the Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts. An opening reception will be held in the gallery from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Friday, April 8. Both the exhibit and the reception are free and open to the public.

"Portfolios" will feature works by art studio students Ashley Arakas, Sarah Cox, Elisabeth Dollar and Rebecca Jolly, all of Myrtle Beach; Katheryn Farrelly, of Denville, N.J.; Jermaine Gourdaine, of Saint Stephen; Jessica Schwiers of Murrells Inlet; and Ariana Sellers of Ruby.

The gallery is in Room 129 of the Edwards Building at 133 Chanticleer Drive W. on the main campus.
