CCU hosting farmers market on campus Sept. 19

Coastal Carolina University's TD Campus and Community Sustainability Initiative will host a farmers market on Monday, Sept. 19, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the Prince Lawn. The event is open to the public.

Presented in partnership with Waccamaw Market Cooperative, the event features more than 30 local businesses with fresh and locally grown produce, plants, baked goods, handmade jewelry and other eco-friendly products. Some of the vendors include: Beach Treats, Bella Cibo (homemade doughnuts), Benjamin's Bakery, Bone Island Nuts, Grahams Produce (boiled peanuts), Jupiter Pies, Sunny Cedar Farms and more. Payment forms include cash, checks, electronic benefit transfer (EBT) and debit/credit cards.

Sustain Coastal is committed to transform Coastal Carolina University into an environmentally sustainable university through campus operations, student curriculum, engaging students through learning and outreach and collaboration in the community through sustainable stewardship of resources.

Prince Lawn is located in the middle of campus in front of the Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts and the Eldred E. Prince Building.
