Transportation in Horry County is topic of forum

October 21, 2016

"Accessing Horry County: the Ethics of Transportation" will be the topic of a "Java Jabber" panel discussion at Coastal Carolina University on Thursday, Oct. 27, at 4:30 p.m. in the James J. Johnson Auditorium in the E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration building on campus. The public is invited to attend the free event.

The discussion will be led by Joe Kunkel, executive director of Neighbor to Neighbor, a nonprofit organization that connects volunteers with seniors in need in the community. He previously worked as a program manager in the Lieutenant Governor's Office on Aging.

CCU administrators and students will discuss the availability and significance of transportation and its role in the life of our community. The panel will focus specifically on the importance of transportation for the well-being of Horry County residents.

This Java Jabber session is sponsored by CCU's Jackson Family Center for Ethics and Values. The purpose of the center is to cultivate and promote awareness in the community of the importance of personal and professional integrity.
