"Barbarossa: The German Invasion of the Soviet Union and the Siege of Leningrad" is a book of sonnets that focus on the individual lives of Leningrad citizens during the first year of the siege, from the initial German invasion of the Soviet Union to the formation of supply routes over the frozen Lake Ladoga.

CCU's visiting writer's series, "Words to Say It," brings several critically acclaimed authors to campus each year. These authors are selected both for their literary skill and their commitment to the socially transformative imagination.
