CCU’s Guitar Series I presents studio recital

Coastal Carolina University's Guitar Series I recital series will showcase student guitarists on Tuesday, Feb. 7, at 7:30 p.m. in the Recital Hall of the Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts building. General admission is $7, with discounts available.

The event will feature guitar students from the studio of Daniel Hull, lecturer of music at CCU. They are: Cynthea Kelley, Christopher Scheu, Santos Salazar, Thomas Probert, Willie Newman, Marcus Cannon and Cameron Rider. The program will feature solo and ensemble music from the Baroque era through the 20th century. There will also be an appearance by Coastal Carolina Guitar Quartet.

Hull earned a Bachelor of Music in guitar performance from Illinois State University where he studied under Douglas Rubio. He earned a Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts in guitar performance from the Eastman School of Music while studying with Nicholas Goluses.

Tickets for CCU/HGTC faculty and staff are $5; children and CCU/HGTC students with proper ID are $3. The Recital Hall is located in Room 152 of the Edwards building. at 133 Chanticleer Drive W. on the Conway campus.
