UVA politics professor to discuss free speech on college campuses at CCU
Ceaser is the author of several books on American politics and American political thought, including "Presidential Selection" (1979), "Reconstructing America" (1997), "Nature and History in American Political Development" (2006) and "Designing a Polity" (2010). He has held visiting positions at Harvard University, Princeton University, Oxford University, the University of Basel in Switzerland and the University of Bordeaux in France.
This event is part of CCU's Politics and Economics Lecture Series, which is organized through CCU's Forum on Liberty and the American Founding and sponsored by the Institute for Humane Studies and the John Templeton Foundation. Kimberly Hale, assistant professor of politics, and Drew Kurlowski, assistant professor of politics, co-direct this lecture series designed for advanced students in political theory.
"We facilitate discussion among an ideologically diverse group of students, with the intention of highlighting the enduring principles and conflicts of American political thought," said Hale.
The Edwards Recital Hall is located in Room 152 in the Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts at 133 Chanticleer Drive W. on the Conway campus.
