There are somewhere around 450 to 475 student-athletes at Coastal Carolina University competing in NCAA Division I sports. To assist them in their journey to earn a degree, while handling the demands of their athletic endeavors, CCU has implemented a Faculty Associate program.

Faculty Associates attend games, practices, and other gatherings of the teams to which they are assigned. They are there simply to provide support and to assist the student-athletes in whatever way they can.
