Coastal Carolina University’s Department of Recreation and Sport Management (RSM) is hosting its third annual Strikes for Symposium, a bowling event focused on raising funds for the 2024 RSM Symposium. Strikes for Symposium will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 8, from 6-8 p.m. at 810 Billiards & Bowling, located at 2001 Hwy. 501 E. in Conway.

The event will feature food and friendly competition in addition to team and individual prizes. Strikes for Symposium will include one game of bowling in teams of four, a prize raffle, and a bowl-off for individual bowlers who want to test their skills against other participants. Registration fee is $15 per bowler. Participants can register for the bowl-off for an additional $5.

The event, developed as a learning experience for students enrolled in RSM 490: Program and Event Planning, helps future recreation and sport professionals gain experience in planning and implementing events. Proceeds from the event will support the 2024 RSM Symposium, a multi-day immersive learning experience that offers RSM students an opportunity to network with more than 100 industry professionals and learn more about the career field.
