Approximately 650 Coastal Carolina University students and alumni had the opportunity to meet with nearly 90 employers during the Spring 2024 Career Fair on Wednesday, Feb. 28. Hosted each semester by CCU’s Career Services, the event provides attendees an opportunity to network, learn about a variety of career options, gain interview experience, and secure employment.

“This is a great opportunity for students and alumni to look for internships, full-time jobs, and part-time jobs,” said Verne Walker, Ph.D., director of Career Services at CCU. “This is a perfect place for freshmen and sophomores to start networking and see what employers expect from them.”

Kelli Moses-Dolfi, assistant director of Career Services and coordinator of career exploration and marketing, said the career fair is one of many opportunities the office provides to support students and alumni entering the workforce.

CCU FoodCrew (Aramark), Giti, Hilton Grand Vacations, IMCMV Margaritaville, North Myrtle Beach Ocean Rescue, and Waffle House were sponsors of this semester’s fair. Other participating employers included the Federal Bureau of Investigation, resort and hotel companies, Horry County Schools, Horry Telephone Cooperative, and Conway Medical Center.

In addition to visiting employer booths, attendees could learn about graduate school options and have a free professional headshot taken by photographers from University Marketing and Communication.
