Five home games to be played at the new football stadium
CONWAY, S.C. -- Today, Coastal Carolina University began selling season tickets for its inaugural football season, opening Sept. 6, 2003 at home against Newberry.
"Having just visited the construction site and seeing the quality of work being done, it is extremely exciting knowing that we are going to be playing football in the fall," CCU Athletic Director Warren 'Moose' Koegel said. "We look forward to everyone in the community having a chance to see the Chanticleers play."
The season tickets will be sold in two levels - preferred seats and reserved seats. Preferred seats, which are $100 per season ticket, will be located on the upper deck of the home (east) stand and are theater-style chair-back seats. Reserved seats, which run $75 per season ticket, will be on the lower deck of the home stand and are bleacher seats with backrests.
All season tickets will also require a minimum donation to the CINO (Coastal Is Number One) Club, with a portion of the donations and season tickets going toward the construction of the new stadium. The CINO Club donations, along with previous giving to Coastal Carolina University or its athletic programs valued through a "Priority Point System," will impact season ticket locations, as well as reserved parking locations for football games. The Priority Point System, similar to that used by many athletic programs across the country, is a system that recognizes and rewards season ticket holders or athletic donors who demonstrate a consistent commitment to Coastal's athletic programs. Season ticket and parking locations will be finalized after the June 30 donation deadline and mailed out or available for pick up on August 1.
