Wellness seminars to be offered at Coastal this fall

A new series of Smart Aging and Wellness Seminars will be presented on Fridays throughout the fall through the Lifelong Learning Society (LLS) at Coastal Carolina University.

"Smart Aging After 50" will kick off the series on Sept. 5 from 9 to 11 a.m. This seminar is free and will help seniors to deal with many of the daily challenges facing older adults. .

Other offerings will include topics such as home safety for seniors, new career opportunities in the golden years, caring for parents and children, and reducing the risks of becoming injured in falls. The seminars, which are being offered as a new free benefit to members of LLS, will also be available to non-members for $10 per session..

LLS is an adult educational and enrichment program of Coastal Carolina University's Division of Continuing Studies that offers a wide variety of courses throughout the academic year..

Although you don't have to be a LLS member to take classes, members enjoy many benefits including reduced class costs, use of the campus library and free or student rate admission to cultural events on campus. Annual membership is $35 or $19 per semester. .
