Area children are invited to visit Santa at his "workshop," a life-size gingerbread house located on the Coastal Carolina University campus.

Santa will be in town Wednesday, Dec. 3 and Thursday, Dec. 4 from 4 to 7 p.m. The gingerbread house will face Chanticleer Drive in front of the residence halls. Free hot chocolate, cookies, gifts and pictures with Santa will be available for children. The free event is open to the public and sponsored by Coastal's Office of Residence Life.

The gingerbread house was created and is operated by Coastal's Residence Life maintenance staff and other volunteer staff members including students; this is its second year of creating holiday memories.
