Former Globetrotter to speak at Coastal Carolina

Tracy Williams, former Harlem Globetrotter and high-energy speaker, will be appearing at Coastal Carolina University on Thursday, April 1. The event, which is free and open to the public, will be at 7 p.m. in the Recital Hall in the Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts.

Williams, of Beaufort, N.C, was educated in the New York City and North Carolina school systems and studied at James Madison and Campbell universities. He is a nationally acclaimed speaker, television personality and entrepreneur. He hosts a television show in North Carolina, “Tracy Williams’ World,” and he is the founder and director of a foundation and basketball camp designed to help youth in their physical, social and academic development.

In addition to traveling internationally with the Harlem Globetrotters, he has played professional basketball for overseas teams.
