Justification For Request

What research has led to this request?

By expanding ARTS 312 to be offered either Fall or Spring semester the Department of Visual Arts will have the flexibility to offer the course as needed; this became evident when a special project arose and course offerings needed to be shifted from their previous semesters.

What impact will this request have on existing academic programs?

There will be no negative impact on the program with this proposed change; the flexibility to offer ARTS 312 Fall or Spring give the Department a better opportunity to serve scheduling needs and move students through the program on schedule for graduation.

What financial costs are associated with this request?

There are not additional costs associated with the proposed change.

If NO change in cost is anticipated, how is this possible?

The scheduling changes that may occur with the expanded offering would be in-load as needed, no additional course coverage would be necessary.
