About Janet P. Graham
A native of Conway, S.C., Janet Graham has been the Area Manager (for both Horry and Georgetown counties) of the Myrtle Beach Area Small Business Development Center (SBDC) located at Coastal Carolina University since 2004.
Graham received an associate's degree from Horry-Georgetown Technical College (Phi Theta Kappa), a bachelor's degree in finance from Coastal Carolina University (cum laude), and a Master in Business Administration from Winthrop University. She has experience as a commercial insurance agent, and more than 15 years experience working with Bank of America, in both the commercial lending and small business banking areas.
Graham received a national award from the Association of Small Business Development Centers in 2009, being named the State Star for South Carolina. She also taught a senior level business management course at Coastal Carolina on entrepreneurship (Initiation and Management of the New Business Enterprise) as well as First-Year Experience (FYE). She is also a partner, with husband Gregory Graham, of a property management company and a towing company.

About Bernita S. Platt
Bernita Platt is a business consultant with the Myrtle Beach Area Small Business Development Center.
She graduated from the University of South Carolina with a B.S. in accounting in 2005. Following graduation, she worked as a management trainee and an assistant branch manager at a community based bank in Greenville, S.C. In 2007, Platt began working on her MBA with a concentration in accounting at Coastal Carolina University. During this time she worked as a business consultant for the Myrtle Beach Area SBDC in Horry and Georgetown counties and continued to work in this capacity until February 2009. She completed the master’s degree program in May 2008. Platt then worked as a tax field auditor for the South Carolina Department of Revenue. She returned to the SBDC in June 2014.
