Green Power
Coastal Carolina University is recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for their efforts to reduce the risk of climate change through the use of green power. CCU has purchased green power since 2002 and has solar panels on the main shuttle station by the Lib Jackson Student Union.
The solar panels produced 20.08 MWh during 2016.
CCU purchased 595 blocks of green power from Santee Cooper in 2016, which is equal to 1,428 MWh.
