Christina Genovevo (1) denied In order for course to be created correctly to reflect course equivalency, the following should be done: 1). remove cross-listing information 2). Description should be edited as follows (this corrects the formatting of course equivalency as well as semesters offered): CRMJ 100 - Introduction to Criminology and Criminal Justice. (3 credits) (= POLI 110) This course provides an introduction, overview, and survey of Criminology and the American criminal justice system. We examine the role, development, policies and management of different public agencies and organizations that constitute the criminal justice system. Emphasis is also placed on the study of current and future critical criminological issues such as due process, discretion in the administration of justice, community policing, police ethics, domestic violence intervention, probation and parole effectiveness and correctional issues. F, S 3). Edit the sample syllabus to reflect the correct description Once done, proposal will be moved to Faculty Senate.... May 25, 2022 Old Note

(6) denied This form has been approved by the AAC, PENDING the following edits: (1) Change the Catalog description in the form as follows: (a) Replace the sequence from the prefix to the number of credits with: “CRMJ 100 - Introduction to Criminology and Criminal Justice (3 credits) (=POLI 110)” (b) Change the semesters offered at the end to “F, S.” (2) Copy the amended Catalog description (as above) in the attached syllabus to harmonize it with the form and to eliminate any future tense. Drew Budner (4) denied The Core Curriculum committee was not able to determine how students were meeting the objectives for the Human and Social Behavior goal using either the attached worksheet or syllabus provided. If you could update either the worksheet to include examples of assessment or activities that address the outcomes and experiences currently listed on the worksheet, or provide information in syllabus that those outcomes are being addressed that would help. In addition, we would request that the syllabus includes a statement that this course meets the Human and Social Behavior Core goal and specifically lists the Core Student Learning Objectives. If you have any question please speak to Drew Budner, Chair of the Core Curriculum Committee, or Brett Simpson, Director of the Core Curriculum.... Feb 23, 2022 Old Note
