The Ryan Wilson Black Alumnus of the Year
Awarded annually to an African American alumnus of Coastal Carolina University who has made significant personal, professional, or philanthropic accomplishments and contributions to their industry, community, and/or the University.
Tabitha D. James Black Student Leader of the Year
Awarded annually to a student attending Coastal Carolina University, who has demonstrated devotion to elevating and enriching the experience and involvement of African American students of Coastal Carolina University through outstanding leadership, inspirational influence, and distinguished character.

2023 Black Alumnus of the Year:
Delonzo Williams
With the establishment of the "Trenches Services Bureau," Mr. Williams demonstrates his dedication to empowering the Black community by facilitating connections between Black-owned businesses and vibrant networks, fostering their growth and success.
2023 Tabitha D. James Black Student of the Year:
Nahdea Wiley
Beginning with her freshman year, Ms. Wiley has served the community in many roles. In partnership with CINO Pantry, Ms. Wiley created the CCU Survivor's Pantry, which addresses the needs of individuals impacted by sexual assault, domestic violence, and interpersonal violence.
