Meet Our Board and Committee Members


 

Anaiya MooreAnaiya Moore, Vice President

Class of 2021 • President

Background: Anaiya Moore majored in Business Management with an HRTM minor and a concentration in Operations. During her time, she immersed herself in all of the things that CCU had to offer, serving as Vice President of Women of Color, President of NAACP, Orientation Leader, Wall Fellow, Jackson Scholar, President of the Rho Pi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., etc. Following graduation, she moved to NYC and began working as a corporate consultant for two years.

Favorite Accomplishment/Achievement: Her favorite achievement while at CCU was winning three different awards during her senior year: Greek Woman of the Year, the Ronald D. Lackey Service Award, and the Haven Hart Impact Award. Anaiya was the first in CCU History to win both the Ronald D. Lackey Service and Haven Hart Impact Award and is honored to be able to show CCU students, especially those of color, what is possible.

Current Role: Anaiya is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and has also found her way back to higher education, serving as the Marketing and Operations Coordinator at Georgetown University’s Capitol Applied Learning Labs (CALL) program. Representation is one of the most important things to her and she’s excited for the opportunity to serve the Black Alumni Chapter!


 

Joshua RavenellJoshua Ravenell Black Alumni Chapter

Class of 2021 • Vice President

Background: Joshua Ravenell received his Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Upon graduation, he relocated to Washington, D.C. to begin his career as an IT Consultant.

Current Role: He’s currently an IT Consultant at Guidehouse for various government agencies and served as the Project Analyst for clients such as the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). 

Josh was heavily involved during his time at CCU as President of the Nu Phi Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., President of the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), a member of the African American Initiative for Males (AAIM) and the NAACP, in addition to several professional organizations.

Favorite Accomplishment/Achievement: Having his mother and father see him walk across the stage at graduation was his favorite achievement!


 

Darnasia Jenkins

Class of 2020 • SecretaryDarnasia Jenkins Secretary

Favorite Accomplishment/Achievement: Darnasia's favorite accomplishment was making the Dean’s list several times throughout her academic career. The support she received from the faculty and staff of CCU was top-tier!

Current Role: Darnasia currently works for one of the largest airplane manufacturing companies in the world while also pursuing a master’s degree in public administration.

 


 

Eugene Bellamy, Jr., Ed.D.Eugene Bellamy, Jr. Leadership Consultant

Class of 2010 • Leadership Consultant 

Favorite Accomplishment/Achievement: Eugene's favorite achievement was serving as the President of Coastal Inspirational Ambassadors for 2.5 years, along with his service as a Student Alumni Ambassador.

Current Role: Eugene currently serves as the Digital Platform Coordinator and Math and PD Support for Jasper County School District, after formerly serving in Marion, Horry, and Jasper Counties as a middle school teacher, middle school assistant principal, middle school principal, and district coordinator and academic officer for elementary and middle schools. In addition, he is excited about successfully defending his dissertation in January 2024, completing a Doctorate of Education In Educational Leadership from National University.

 


 

LeKeisha Edwards

Class of 2006 • Communications ChairLeKeisha Edwards Communications Chair

Favorite Accomplishment/Achievement:
LeKeisha's favorite accomplishment was her entire journey of educational pursuit at CCU with the pinnacle of graduation, as she secured the dreams of her grandparents who raised her by becoming a first-generation college student and graduate. She was involved in a number of campus organizations, earned several scholarships, and attained an incredible internship with WPDE News Channel 15, all opportunities she received in large part due to the very special faculty and staff of CCU, but most importantly, her beloved grandparents.

Current Role: She currently works as a copy/content writer, and editor in the fields of copyediting, substantive editing, and developmental editing. LeKeisha is devoted to philanthropic efforts that support the promotion of literacy initiatives for children and adults to aid in teaching and improving reading outcomes, and minimizing book deserts on a global scale, getting books into the hands of children and families that so desperately need them.

 


 

Tabitha D. James

Class of 2013 • Founding Member and Communications Co-ChairTabitha D James Founding Member and Co-Communications Chair

Favorite Accomplishment/Achievement: Tabitha's favorite accomplishment was being named the 2012 SNAP Mentor of the Year as a Coastal undergraduate student. She had an AMAZING SNAP mentor as a freshman and really took mentoring seriously. She never imagined getting the award as she was one of the younger mentors in the program, but she still remembers and cherishes that day!

Current Role: Currently, Tabitha is the owner and lead marketing strategist at SHEAM Strategic Consulting Group. Additionally, she serves in several philanthropic roles across the Southeast, one of which allows her to lead a team of mentors and mentees; a full-circle experience!
