Certificate helps non-business grads learn foundations

Study core business concepts and skills without a business background

The E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration recently announced a new online certificate program designed for students who already have a bachelor's degree in another discipline but want to enter the field of business. "We have many students with a background in liberal arts, education or the sciences who are interested in starting their own businesses or working for an existing business, but don't have the background or experience," said Rob Reed, student services program coordinator. "The graduate Certificate in Business Foundations will provide these students with the essential skills and knowledge needed to start their own businesses, enter the workforce or prepare for graduate school," he said.

The 16-credit curriculum includes coursework in accounting, finance, statistics, economics, marketing and management, and is scheduled to enable students to complete in less than one year. For more information, please contact Rob Reed, program coordinator, at 843-349-2761 or gradbus@coastal.edu. To apply, contact the Office of Graduate Studies.

The E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration is proudly accredited by AACSB, ensuring the highest standard of learning.
