RSM GOLF CLASSIC

On Friday, April 5, 2024, the Coastal Carolina University (CCU) Recreation and Sport Management (RSM) students will host the 13th annual RSM Golf Classic at the Hackler Golf Course on CCU’s campus. The event includes golf, games, a silent auction, prizes, and more. Last year, this event sold out weeks in advance!

Organized by students enrolled in RSM 490: Program and Event Planning, the RSM Golf Classic utilizes experiential learning to educate students and prepare them for the recreation and sport industry. In addition, through marketing, sponsorships, and partnerships, the event raises funds for the RSMA (Recreation and Sport Management Alliance) Scholarship, which is awarded to a CCU student majoring in recreation and sport management. 

Tournament Format:

• 1 p.m. shotgun start
• Best Ball Scramble
• Carts provided
• Foursomes
• Each group is responsible for maintaining their score and turning in their card at the end of the tournament to have their score counted
• Banquet is included in registration fee

Registration is by foursome only; however, if you are interested in playing as an individual or as a twosome, please contact Amanda Siegrist at asiegrist@coastal.edu, and while there are no guarantees, we will do our best to accommodate.

INCLEMENT WEATHER PLAN:

In the event of inclement weather, the Executive Directors from the RSM 490 class will send all registered participants an email no later than 9 am on Friday, April 5th with details on a delay and/or cancellation. Please also check back here, the RSM events webpage, for updates and details.

If golf is canceled, registrants will be encouraged to come by Hackler Golf Course at an adjusted time on the day of the event for music, raffles, food, and to pick up their golf vouchers and SWAG bags. Refunds will not be issued. 

By registering for this event, you give Coastal Carolina University and the Recreation and Sport Management Department permission to use your image and likeness from any pictures or media taken at the event for future marketing purposes.
