Student Computing Services (SCS) is a division of Information
Technology Services (ITS). SCS adheres to the mission of ITS, which
is to provide leading edge technology and related services for
utilization by students, faculty, and staff to augment and enhance
education, research, and administrative functions. SCS is dedicated
to help students acquire the necessary computer skills and knowledge
for academic and professional success. SCS also ensures effective
use of students' technological resources throughout the university
while providing efficient services and technical assistance to
students. The friendly and knowledgeable staff of SCS maintains the
general-access labs and micro-computer labs, assists with computer
accounts and academic projects, supports residence hall computer
operations, and advises with disk and file access problems. In
addition, SCS staff assists with the Convertible Notebook
Initiative (CNI), advising students with their computer purchases.
Computers throughout CCU student facilities are connected through a
state-of-the-art campus network, which utilizes high speed wired and
wireless Ethernet technology.
