Brass

Trumpet

1. All Major Scales
2. Chromatic Scale 2 octaves C-C (Bb concert)
3. Sight-reading
4. A selection of your choice demonstrating both lyrical and technical playing, such as:

• Haydn Concerto in Eb for trumpet movement 1
• Hummel Concerto in Eb for trumpet movement 1
• Arutunian Concerto for trumpet 
• Concert Etude by Goedicke

or any etude demonstrating similar characteristics (including all region or all-state audition music) 

Horn

1. All Major Scales (F, G, A flat, 2 octaves)
2. Chromatic Scale 2 octaves F-F (Bb concert)
3. One selection of your choice demonstrating either lyrical or technical skills (cannot be marching band or concert band literature)
4. One selection must be the all-region or all-state audition solo/etude from your state
5. Sight-reading

Low Brass

1. Major scales through five sharps or flats.
2. Chromatic scale (beginning on any note over the full range of the instrument).
3. Applicants are required to perform literature showcasing their lyrical and technical abilities.  This may be in the form of a single solo with contrasting movements OR multiple etudes exhibiting proper techniques. 
4. Sight-reading.
