Morgan B. Gilreath

Morgan B. Gilreath, a Baptist minister who served in the Green Sea-Floyds area, was the first vice president of the Coastal Educational Foundation. When the Foundation and the Horry County Higher Education Commission separated in 1954, Gilreath, then vice chairman of the Commission, authored the resolution which set forth the harmonious working relationship between the two bodies for the future. He served on the Commission until 1967, including three terms as vice chairman.
